Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

The tool collects just six pieces of information: gender, date of birth, general health assessment, tobacco status, coverage size and timeframe. These are sufficient for carriers to provide quotes. Personal details such as name, location and medical history are gathered only if you apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

What you see are the quotes carriers return for the classification you indicated. The carrier determines the actual rate following underwriting, which could confirm, upgrade or adjust the category. This website makes no insurance offer or rate promise.

What happens when I click Apply?

Selecting the apply option moves you into a secure system provided by the carriers, pre-loaded with what you've entered. You can stop and restart whenever. Signing happens online. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance business (License 0B75129), processes all applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, coverage amount and your responses. Many carriers now provide immediate decisions for qualified applicants without an exam; each quote specifies whether testing is expected, may be required, or is not needed.

Is a longer term better?

The duration should align with when your dependents would suffer most from lost income: when there's a home loan, kids in the house, or a business liability. Longer periods raise the monthly fee but hold your rate steady longer. The tool lets you compare periods of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The tool doesn't ask for contact info to return quotes; we don't trade, sell, or forward personal data; and our analytics don't use cookies. For details on exactly what's gathered and by whom, see the privacy policy.
